Like the all engines, the car engine system employs specially developed hydraulic lifters (known as switching roller followers) for the P2090 code intake and exhaust valves. The lifters can be collapsed by disengaging an internal locking pin. The locking pin is detached using solenoids to alter oil pressure fed into the lifter. The poor running symptoms are consistent with a MAP sensor fault. In addition, in some cases, a bad MAP sensor will not pitch a code. Again, the ELD code likely typifies a distinct cabling issue. Do not use wrong meaning of the code for solving the car engine problem.
